General Summary:

Qualcomm operates one of the largest High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments catering to EDA workloads. Given the number of SoCs Qualcomm develops across various industries, the HPC ecosystem is the core supporting fabric of ASIC design execution.

We are looking for a Platform Software Engineer who can be responsible for the design, and deployment foundational components of our AI and HPC platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of full stack software engineers with experience in building backend and front-end solutions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Software engineer, you’ll be part of a global cross-functional Software Engineering team that is responsible for:

· Designing, developing and evolving the foundational HPC infrastructure, AI serving solutions to support large scale EDA and AI.

· Continuously observing, assessing and optimizing the performance of the HPC environments and AI model serving solutions.

· Designing and implementing solutions to improve the user experience of engineers consuming AI and HPC solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.

OR

5+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 20 lbs.

The ideal candidate will have:

· Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field.

· 3+ years’ experience developing distributed software solutions.

· Strong knowledge of programming, and full stack software development.

· Proficiency in a programming language (C/C++/Java, Typescript, etc.) and scripting with Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Solid understanding of distributed auto-scaled computing environments

· Expertise in building great user experience for consumers of AI and HPC

· In-depth skills assessing and optimizing all aspects of computational performance of full stack applications and tools.

· Demonstrated experience with configuration management systems

· Demonstrated understanding of application development with containers and K8s

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-function teams.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a can-do attitude and a commitment to continuous learning.

Pay range:

$133,000.00 - $199,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
