Job Description:

Parsons Corporation's San Diego office is hiring a Senior Commissioning Manager for our Water Sector. This role supports startup/commissioning efforts for the billion-dollar City of San Diego Pure Water Program , with a focus on the $255M Water Reclamation Plant expansion. This position is based in a field office in the Miramar area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee commissioning and startup activities, ensuring smooth project transitions from construction to operations.

  • Manage stakeholders, including client representatives, contractors, and design consultants.

  • Develop and maintain detailed startup schedules, procedures, and progress-tracking systems.

  • Coordinate major milestones (e.g., chemical cleaning, testing) and ensure safety and quality standards adherence.

  • Coordinates the daily activities affecting and involving startups.

  • Supervise commissioning engineers and other startup staff.

  • Drives startup by integrating process mechanical and DCS team.

  • Champion continuous improvement and change management initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Preferred: Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Familiarity with design-bid-build Public Works projects.

  • Strong background with Water/Wastewater systems and process

  • 15+ years of startup experience, including 5+ years in a managerial role.

  • Water or Wastewater Treatment Plant startup experience.

Work Conditions:

  • Physical demands include lifting to 50 pounds, climbing, kneeling, and working in varying environmental conditions.

  • Typical construction site environment with occasional office duties.

Salary Range:

$126,600.00 - $227,900.00
