Our client, a fast-growing mortgage consulting firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Loan Officer to join their team. This role is designed to develop into a full Loan Officer position within 6-12 months, providing a clear path for career advancement. Job Description:

As an Associate Loan Officer, you will assist experienced Loan Officers in managing the loan process from application to closing. You will be responsible for supporting clients through their mortgage journey, handling documentation, and ensuring all necessary steps are completed accurately and efficiently. With a focus on client service and sales, this role is perfect for someone looking to build a long-term career as a Loan Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Loan Officers in the origination and management of mortgage loans, ensuring all client needs are met.

  • Work closely with clients to gather necessary documentation and guide them through the loan application process.

  • Conduct initial client consultations to assess loan eligibility and present appropriate mortgage products.

  • Provide administrative and sales support to Loan Officers, including preparing loan files, submitting documents, and tracking loan progress.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products, rates, and lending regulations.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and firm policies throughout the loan process.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Participate in professional development and training programs to prepare for the Loan Officer role within 6-12 months.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in finance, real estate, or a related field.

  • Passion for the mortgage industry with a goal of advancing to a Loan Officer position.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.

  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn mortgage software.

  • Sales experience or a desire to work in a sales-driven environment is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the mortgage industry, real estate, or financial services.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong advantage.
