Hyatt Assistant Director of Operations - (Rooms Division) in SAN DIEGO, California

The Assistant Director of Operations – Rooms, is responsible for overseeing and directing Front Office, Valet, Guest Services, Concierge, Housekeeping, the Marina, as well as assisting with oversight of the Food & Beverage Division.

Duties include:

· Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of the Rooms/Food and Beverage operations in the front and back of the house

· Develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans

· Implement and maintain F&B sales/marketing programs

· Direct and oversee development of employees

· Hire, train, empower, coach and counsel, performance and salary reviews

· Cover and support in Front Office and Housekeeping Operations as needed

· Perform daily room inspections to ensure quality and standards are met

· Send pre/post arrival guest communications

· Drive Hotel Metrics and Financial targets

· Direct the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for food and beverage/rooms operations

· Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality

· Implement procedures to increase guest and associate satisfaction

· Exercise quality control for both Rooms and food and beverage

· Maintaining Hyatt standards of service and ensure their implementation

· Performing daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards

· Maintain communications with Corporate Staff

· Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures

The salary range for this position is $91,200.00 - $136,800.00. This is the pay range Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina reasonably expects to pay. Individual salaries will be based on experience and education.

Qualifications:

  • Prior hotel front office experience required.

  • Prior leadership experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
