Robert Half Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager in San Diego, California
Description
Our client, a respected non profit organization, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Manager to lead their AR team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely collection of receivables, maintaining accurate financial records, and fostering positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the accounts receivable team to ensure timely invoicing, collections, and application of payments.
Monitor AR aging reports and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances.
Develop and enforce policies and procedures to optimize the AR process while ensuring compliance with company standards.
Analyze customer accounts, resolve payment discrepancies, and escalate issues when necessary.
Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address client inquiries and billing disputes.
Prepare and present AR performance metrics and reports to senior management.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes related to accounts receivable.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in AR operations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proficiency in AR software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate across departments and with clients.
Proven track record of managing and motivating teams in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
