Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk. This role is essential in supporting our financial operations and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices, coding expenses, and preparing payments.

• Handle accounts receivable duties, such as invoicing clients, posting payments, and following up on overdue accounts.

• Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.

• Maintain accurate and organized financial records, both electronically and in hard copy.

• Support payroll processing by verifying timekeeping records and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.

• Assist with tax filings and compliance by preparing documentation and assisting in the calculation of tax liabilities.

  Requirements

• Proven experience as an accounting clerk, bookkeeper, or similar role.

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

• Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Certification (e.g., AAT) or coursework in accounting.

• Previous experience in payroll processing and tax preparation.
