Google Product Manager, YouTube Growth Platform in San Bruno, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

  • 1 year of experience managing technical consumers or ads products from conception to launch.

  • Experience with SQL, experiment design, and analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a Technology or Business related field.

  • 2 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.

  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders.

  • 1 year of experience in software development or engineering.

  • Experience with promotional recommendations and ranking models.

  • Experience with ads measurement and reporting tools.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

YouTube Growth Platform is an important lever to drive YouTube’s subscription business. Our goal is to connect users with relevant YouTube paid experiences like Premium, YouTube TV, Sunday Ticket, Channel Membership, and Primetime Channels.

In this role, you will define and launch Machine Learning (ML) experiments that grow our paid products and improve our platform’s effectiveness. You will be responsible for executing on team priorities, improving the user experience through experimentation and collaboration, developing strategy, and driving the roadmap for this area. You will collaborate with all our paid product teams, and work directly with engineering and analyst teams on YouTube’s growth platform.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Launch new growth campaigns and features throughout the YouTube experience.

  • Improve the user experience with our paid product promotions through experimentation and iteration.

  • Analyze and synthesize data from experimentation, user research, and platform behavior to inform product roadmap.

  • Work collaboratively with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams on technologies such as machine learning and large language models.

  • Develop solutions to problems by collaborating across regions, product areas, and functions as needed.
