The Boeing Company is looking for Associate and Mid-Level Wire Design Engineers to join our team in San Antonio, TX .

Boeing Defense Space & Security VC-25B (747-8) Payloads and Systems. This role is responsible for designing wire harnesses and integrating their design with multiple other teams.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports analysis and design reviews.

  • Analyzes results and supports design reviews.

  • Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).

  • Follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.

  • Supports the development of statements of work.

  • Assists in the technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.

  • Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 1+ years of wire design experience

  • 2+ years of experience on aerospace programs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience designing or supporting electrical wire harness installations

  • Understanding of wire separation requirements and other EME considerations

Typical Education & Experience:

Associate

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary Pay Range Associate: $81,600 – 110,400

Summary Pay Range Mid-Level: $97,750 – 132,250
