ENTRUST Solutions Group Telecommunications Field Supervisor in San Antonio, Texas

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and supervise a team of field technicians, subcontractors, and other field personnel in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecom systems.

  • Provide hands-on training, mentorship, and support to field staff to ensure high levels of performance and professional development.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement corrective actions when necessary

  • Plan, organize, and execute telecom field operations to meet project deadlines, budgets, and quality standards

  • Coordinate with the project management team to ensure efficient resource allocation and adherence to project schedules.

  • Oversee the setup, configuration, testing, and maintenance of telecom systems and networks.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise in the field, providing guidance and expertise to technicians.

  • Ensure that installations and repairs comply with industry standards, local regulations, and company policies.

  • Review engineering plans and provide feedback to optimize field operations and ensure technical feasibility.

  • Promote and enforce safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA standards to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel

  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of job sites, ensuring all employees have the necessary safety training and equipment

  • Respond promptly to any safety incidents or hazards and implement corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.

  • Act as a liaison between field operations, management, clients, and vendors to ensure smooth communication and address any concerns or issues that may arise.

  • Provide regular updates to management on project progress, field conditions, and personnel performance

  • Manage and track project documentation, including daily logs, safety reports, work orders, and inventory records.

  • Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for field projects.

  • Conduct site surveys and provide input on design and scope of work for new projects.

  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing client needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in telecom infrastructure, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • Extensive knowledge of telecom systems, including fiber optics, wireless systems, and cable installations

  • Certifications: OSHA certification or equivalent safety training.
