Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Network Engineer in San Antonio, Texas. This role is within the IT team, where you will be working on both on-premises and cloud-based environments. Your focus will be on enhancing network security strategies and helping the team grow into systems architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance and develop network security strategies, ensuring robust and secure networking solutions

• Work with Cisco, Meraki, and Arista gear, demonstrating your strong networking experience

• Engage with cloud networking, particularly with Azure and Entra platforms

• Utilize your expertise in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Technologies

• Maintain and manage FCoE, Fibre Channel (FC) storage arrays, VMware virtual switching

• Leverage your skills in AB Testing, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, and Configuration Management to improve network efficiency

• Monitor and maintain Datacenter operations

• Utilize Meraki and ARISTA technologies to optimize network performance

• Take on a hybrid role, working both on-premises and in the cloud, showing your interest in cybersecurity

• Participate in systems architecture discussions and planning under the guidance of senior staff. Requirements • Must possess a deep understanding of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)

• Previous experience with Checkpoint is required

• Proficiency in using Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and other Cisco Technologies

• Familiarity with AB Testing is necessary

• Knowledge of Backup Technologies is essential

• Must have the ability to work with Computer Hardware

• Experience with Configuration Management is required

• Must have datacenter knowledge

• Previous experience with Meraki is preferred

• Familiarity with ARISTA is a plus

• Understanding of FCoE is necessary
