Robert Half is currently working with a reputable banking institution in San Antonio who is looking for a highly-motivated and detailed-oriented Senior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven professional seeking to contribute to a first-rate organization while expanding their accounting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting activities, including preparation and analysis of financial statements in compliance with banking regulations and GAAP.

• Execute month-end and year-end close processes.

• Prepare financial forecasts and manage budgeting reports.

• Perform reconciliation of bank and general ledger accounts.

• Liaise with internal and external auditors for financial audits.

• Ensure accuracy of financial transactions and reporting to maintain the financial health and integrity of the organization.

• Implement and ensure adherence to internal controls and policies.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

• A minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience preferably within the banking industry.

• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong foundational accounting knowledge including understanding of banking regulations related to accounting practices.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization.
