Overview - The Collections Representatives responsibilities are an essential role as the liaison between the company and its customers regarding delinquent accounts. The individual in this position must possess a great deal of negotiation and communication skills as well as excellent understanding and enthusiasm for the goals and directives of Conn’s HomePlus. Ideal candidates are self-motivated individuals who are comfortable asking fact finding questions, assisting customers in reviewing, and negotiating payments on their accounts.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain contact with customers who are past due.
Attempt to cure delinquency by assisting customers with payment arrangements.
Ensure customer inquiries and requests are handled in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to our established procedures and controls.
Document all conversations and actions accurately.
Determine and schedule the best arrangements for different customers based on their situations and current level of delinquency.
Responsible for customer information updates. These may include but are not limited to address and phone number updates.
Address customer complaints. These may include but are not limited to billing and contracts.
All other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
High School graduate or have a GED.
Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Performance driven and team player.
Excellent at communicating and can be customer service oriented.
Data entry and phone etiquette in a customer service environment
Preferred Experience
Able to engage customers and use appropriate negotiation techniques.
Comfortable with social interactions and quick to establish rapport.
Skills & Abilities
Organized and detail oriented.
Able to multi-task and shift priorities, as required.

Work is performed in an office call center environment.
May require prolonged periods of sitting/standing.
