As a CO+I Regional Program Manager, Datacenter Operations you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of projects while aligning them with the core business priorities. You’ll be the driving force behind coordinating efforts across various stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, holding teams accountable for ROI (Return on Investment) and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Program Ownership:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the overarching business strategy. Ensure project goals are measurable and can lead to the contribution of the stated strategic objectives.

  • Provide support, feedback, and coordination for programs and initiatives representing the Americas Region.

  • Own and drive resolution of identified gaps, business requirements, needed solutions, and key escalations to allow Datacenters to operate more efficiently and effectively.

Project Management

  • Manage a portfolio of projects including plans, timelines, milestones, performance metrics and resource coordination.

  • Support in the coordination of cross-functional projects ensuring tactical readiness steps and project deliverables are submitted and accurate.

  • Enable project and program teams by scheduling key checkpoints, documenting action items, risks, and other project-related deliverables are completed accurately and on time.

  • Help maintain project/program software (Wrike, Azure Dev Ops (ADO) board, etc.) for reporting and accountability.

  • Ensure the right resources and technical requirements are aligned to projects and that projects are staying within scope.

  • Facilitate communication channels to keep teams informed about changes, address concerns, and gather feedback.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2+ years mission critical experience in project management, ensuring timely execution of performance improvement projects

  • OR 3+ years mission critical experience in project management, ensuring timely execution of performance improvement projects.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Change Management Expertise: Demonstrated success in leading organizational change related to performance improvement, Prosci, etc.

  • Stakeholder Management: Experience in managing stakeholders effectively.

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) or similar certification

Data Center Operations Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,800 - $195,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $135,200 - $222,000 per year.
