Summary:
The Pricing Specialist (LatAm) position within the Clean Products Trading & Pricing business unit is primarily responsible for performing daily pricing, analysis, and reporting activities in support of the West Division’s Latin America Marketing business. This role will also support and back-up the US Rack Pricing Specialists. Main activities include daily pricing/analysis, customer price notifications, product purchase price validations, pricing model development/maintenance, and weekly price and netback reporting.
The individual will have the opportunity to interact closely with internal business partners (Marketing Territory Managers, Business Development, Accounting, Tax, and IT). Candidate must have a basic understanding of USGC & Latin America energy markets and industry dynamics with ability learn & support the LatAm Pricing support and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Executes daily pricing for multiple light products commodities, classes of trade, and geographies according to operational strategies and/or assigned geographies with management guidance.
Collaborates with key business partners to execute short- and long-term strategies to maximize value chain contribution.
Collaborates with Commercial Market teams to actively optimize sales vs. forecast. Supports growth and fulfills profitable product placement opportunities.
Monitors market conditions, historical trends & performance, and competitor pricing activity. Reacts to prompt market conditions in alignment with strategies and execute daily operational functions.
Assesses Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for pricing functions.
Perform ad hoc analysis and communicate insights to management/operational teams.
Efficiently utilizes Pricing systems and tools. Troubleshoots issues and collaborates with support partners to resolve promptly. Works with business partners to pursue enhancements and process improvements.
Supports and maintains recurring market data pulls, netback reports, ad-hoc reporting, and analytics in support of LatAm team.
Maintains and supports complex pricing models to support current business & future growth.
Supports identification of opportunities and recommends/implements pricing processes improvements.
Supports system and reporting integration efforts with Accounting’s ERP platform.
Assists Accounting team with price confirmation requests and third-party supply price validations to resolve disputes and ensure timely invoice payments.
Provides rotational weekend and holiday pricing support.
Serves as a back-up Pricing Specialist for US Rack Pricing vacation coverage.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Two (2) or more years of experience in analytical, pricing, fuel marketing/sales, supply operations, or revenue/profitability management roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Solid understanding of key business drivers
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to develop and maintain complex pricing models and reports
Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent analytical tools
Fluent Spanish communication skills (oral & written)
Familiar with fuel product movements, terminals, and pricing in Mexico and Peru
