Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in the education sector, based in San Antonio, Texas. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be expected to efficiently manage payroll and benefits processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance while providing excellent service to our team of educators and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, salaries, overtime, and deductions.

• Maintain and manage employee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations.

• Coordinate with benefit providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of contributions and claims.

• Provide employees with information and support regarding their benefits.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and tax laws.

• Maintain accurate records of employee time, attendance, and leave.

• Generate reports for audits, board reviews, and management as needed.

• Serve as the point of contact for employee payroll and benefits questions.

• Assist with onboarding new employees, ensuring they are set up in the payroll system.

• Provide training to staff on self-service payroll and benefits tools.

• Reconcile benefit invoices and resolve discrepancies. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiar with all major Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Strong background in Auditing

• Understanding of Benefit Functions

• Proficiency in using Paycom software

• Experience with Full Cycle Payroll

• Demonstrable experience in Payroll

• Knowledge of Manual Payroll

• Experience handling Payroll for under 100 Employees

• Understands Payroll Functions

• Proficient in using Payroll software

• Ability to Process Payroll effectively

• Experience in Reconciling Payroll

• Familiar with semi-Monthly Payrolls
