Description/Job Summary

SUMMARY

Ensures that all customers needs are met by tending to all customers and helping Service advisors with any and all duties.

Responsibilities/Duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ensures that Service Department customers are greeted timely and courteously and vehicles properly checked in.

• Customers are directed to the proper location as they enter the Service Drive.

• Help Service advisor by doing video walk around as needed.

• Ensures vehicles are thoroughly cleaned

• Exterior and interior of vehicles are washed and cleaned and doorjambs are wiped down

• Interior of vehicles are thoroughly vacuumed

• Vehicle surfaces such as upholstery and rugs and the vehicle engine and engine compartment are properly cleaned using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices

• Obtains customer's signature on repair order; provide customer with copy.

• Use of Job Aids that customers must fill out in the correct circumstances

• Works with Team Leader as to what work is coming in.

• Performs Service Advisor duties during lunch hours

• Make out going phone calls to extended warranty companies.

• Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process

• Maintains a professional appearance

• Informs customers when their vehicle is ready

• Keeps work area clean

• Assists with tasks as needed.

• Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.

• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.

Required Skills

Language Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

• Ability to effectively and clearly present information and instruction one-on-one or to a small group of other employees

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Required Experience

• 3 months related experience

Required Education

• High school education or equivalent
