Heavy Industrial Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Industrial Assembler to join our team. You will be responsible for building small electrical sub-assemblies for cable assemblies and QA Test Systems, interpreting CAD drawings, and performing electrical assembly of wires into control boards. The ideal candidate will have experience in soldering and desoldering through-hole components, running functional tests on built hardware, and supporting the development of prototype test capabilities for QA Testing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Build small electrical sub-assemblies for cable assemblies and QA Test Systems.

  • Interpret CAD Drawings to assemble cable assemblies and test systems.

  • Perform electrical assembly of wires into control boards.

  • Harnessing wires and components.

  • Solder and desolder through-hole components.

  • Run functional testing of built hardware, including setup, instrumentation, test execution, and teardown.

  • Operate multimeters, microscopes, and other equipment to solder and test.

  • Support the development of prototype test capabilities for QA Testing systems.

  • Assist in identifying, installing, and implementing test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.

  • Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated, and track calibration schedules.

  • Perform preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems.

  • Conduct test setups as needed to support developments across several test regimes.

  • Manage schedule priorities and independently execute work to meet company deliverables.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in mechanical assembly.

  • Ability to build small electrical sub-assemblies for cable assemblies and QA Test Systems.

  • Proficiency in interpreting CAD Drawings to assemble cable assemblies and test systems.

  • Skilled in electrical assembly of wires into control boards.

  • Proficiency in harnessing wires and components.

  • Ability to solder and desolder through-hole components.

  • Experience in running functional testing of built hardware.

  • Ability to operate multimeters, microscopes, and other equipment to solder and test.

  • Experience in supporting the development of prototype test capabilities for QA Testing systems.

  • Knowledge in identifying, installing, and implementing test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.

  • Ability to ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated, and track calibration schedules.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
