Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Engineering Specification and Procurement Supervisor to join our team! In this role you will get to develop and implement practices for writing scopes of work and specifications for subcontracted construction services. .

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Produces and maintains written guidance documents describing how to prepare scopes of work for bidding by construction subcontractors of various trades.

  • Instructs and guides discipline engineers in implementing written guidance documents for preparation of scopes of work.Uses SpecsIntact to modify United Facilities Guide Specifications and generate reports.

  • Produces and maintains written guidance documents describing how to prepare specifications using SpecsIntact to modify United Facilities Guide Specifications.

  • Instructs and guides discipline engineers in preparing specifications using SpecsIntact to modify United Facilities Guide Specifications.

  • Advises discipline engineers on appropriate subcontractor submittals to include in specification sections.

  • Advises Project Managers and Project Design Managers on scope of work considerations.

  • Reviews scopes of work covering all trades and to verify full adequate description of services required to construct in accordance with the issued design documents.

  • Reviews bid documents to ensure subcontractor bids cover all required scope of work elements.

  • Promotes technical excellence in the engineering department, including furthering the Quality Improvement Process.

  • Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Highly proficient using SpecsIntact

  • Proven ability to perform in a team environment

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations

  • Thorough knowledge of subcontracting construction services and contract types

  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations

  • Ability to guide and mentor other team members.

Salary Range:

$104,200.00 - $182,400.00
