Robert Half Director of Compensation in San Antonio, Texas

Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Director of Compensation in San Antonio, Texas. This key role will involve the strategic management of financial functions, including compensation and benefits, and the integration of people and processes within the organization. This person must have experience at the executive level of an HR function and be capable of directing compensation strategy and analysis for a large organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures related to compensation and benefits to ensure compliance with laws and organizational goals.

• Communicate actions and recommendations to senior management.

• Train HR staff and managers on compensation, benefits, and best practices related to these areas.

• Participate in strategic planning activities that impact the delivery of people management practices within the organization.

• Present compensation recommendations and analyses to senior leadership for decision-making.

• Supervise, monitor, coach, and evaluate team members' performance.

• Manage the processing of employment-related contracts.

• Oversee the integration of people and processes that deliver compensation and benefits programs to employees.

• Guide reporting managers and individual contributors on the implementation of policies and procedures.

• Identify and sponsor compensation projects that drive operational efficiencies.

• Manage cross-functional teams and act as the focal point for vendor actions and communications.

Requirements

• 10+ years as an HR executive

• Bachelors degree. Master's degree preferred

• 7+ years of progressive experience in compensation, HIRS or other HR Consulting

• 3+ years leading compensation teams or programs

• Experience using Banner system for reporting and analytics

• Experience using Cornerstone software for ATS

• Prefer CCP, PHR SPHR certifications.

• Expertise in Contract audits

• Ability to perform Contract interpretation

• Knowledge of current salary survey and benefits administration methodology and application.
