Microsoft Corporation Data Center Operations Manager in San Antonio, Texas
As a Regional Operations Manager – Rapid Response, you will focus on the execution of special projects and new interest for the Rapid Response program. You will enable program development and delivery, provide leadership, work with internal partners to understand staffing needs, work on Regional process improvements, and governance for DC Operations that will support our current and future growth. In this role you will work collaboratively with all CO+I stakeholders to support emerging business needs and growth for the organization, driving excellence in service through industry best practices.

As an Operations Manager for our Regional Rapid Response Team, you and your team will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Responsibilities
Support a strategic vision and implementation plan for regional datacenter operations that will position the organization to restore capacity and enable growth.
Lead a team of Datacenter Operations Specialist and be responsible for providing oversight to the Americas Region with Breakfix, Deployment, Decommission, Logistics, systemic troubleshooting and process and tooling improvements.
Collaborate with various Engineering, Construction, end to end build teams, regional integration, Operations, and other Regional Rapid Response Managers with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities and communicate to stakeholders and other teams to drive resolution.
Create lessons learned documentation, best practices, and innovations on existing process/procedures and tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
Establish data analytics to evaluate the process change efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent AND 3+ years’ experience of mission-critical service management (e.g. Providing IT services, manufacturing, warehouse, retail, military, or managing physical operations in an IT and/or critical environment infrastructure).
OR equivalent experience
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications :
6+ years’ experience in data center-related functions for large enterprise organizations with experience in a production, mission-critical, 24x7 operations environment.
2+ years’ experience in leading a diverse, technical team.
Technical College degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience with Project and Program management in large complex, cross-functional organizations.
Experience working with network technologies including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing, and Switching.
Experience in structured process improvement and efficiency gains (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).
Data Center Operations Management M4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,800 - $195,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $135,200 - $222,000 per year.
