Job Title: Aerial Lineman (Telecommunications)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Aerial Lineman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a Class A CDL and a Medical Cardapplications without these credentials will not be considered. You will be responsible for performing various types of Outside Plant Aerial Construction and Maintenance/Repair work, both independently and as part of a crew.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all types of Telecommunications Aerial Cable Construction.
- Work safely from ladders or bucket trucks with a 40-foot extension boom.
- Operate a Digger Derrick Truck for the removal and installation of telephone poles.
- Read and interpret blueprints effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to bend, squat, crouch, and kneel occasionally.
- Frequently reach above shoulder level and balance.
- Push/pull equipment and climb up to 25 feet regularly.
- In an 8-hour workday:
- Sit for about 2 hours
- Stand for about 3 hours
- Walk for about 3 hours
- Frequently carry loads up to 100 lbs and lift similar weights as needed.
- Continuous handling of 10 lbs throughout the work period.
- Engage in repetitive foot movements and both simple and fine manipulation with hands.
- Work around moving machinery, with exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, dust, fumes, and gases.
