R.C. HUNT ELECTRIC, INC. Licensed Industrial Electrical Foreman in SALT LAKE CTY, Utah

Hunt Electric, Inc. of Salt Lake City, UT is searching for a full-time Licensed Industrial Electrical Foreman to join our team within the Industrial Division. Can you plan, design, organize, and execute electrical construction projects? Can you adapt to changing codes, regulations, and safety requirements? The Industrial Electrical Foreman must have a current and active Utah Journeyman Electrician License. A valid reciprocal state journeyman license will be considered as proof of experience, but a Utah journeyman license must be obtained within 30 days of employment. electrical construction experience is required.

 

Major Duties:

  • Diplomatically manage the crews and provide appropriate training, positive and constructive feedback.
  • Plan and layout the project including planned installation material take-off quantities and tool needs based on the project schedule.
  • Establish a site-specific safety plan and evaluate project risks to personnel and equipment to mitigate them.
  • Understand, review and implement the installation per the contract drawings and specifications.
  • Evaluate the contracted scope of work with the PM to determine change requests and schedule affect.
  • Plan the project's material, equipment, and labor needs for timely arrival to and from the site.
  • Monitor daily progress to the short-term and long-term schedules to meet commitments. Provide daily written documentation of activities and obstacles.
  • Conduct and participate in project meetings as needed and provide necessary trade coordination.
  • Coordinate and communicate with the PM and purchasing manager with detailed material requisitions, and delivery schedules.
  • Establish and implement prefab project-specific tasks.
  • Have a valid Driver's License.
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager

     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Utah Journeyman license.
  • Five plus years of installation experience with the latest electrical code, means, and methods.
  • Be able to apply the latest technological techniques to maximize employee safety, quality, and production.
  • Superior internal and external communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.). Team player with acknowledging contributions by others.
  • Have basic computer skills such as Outlook, Bluebeam, Word and Excel.
  • Experience in food and beverage, manufacturing, automation and controls, or wastewater treatment.
  • Have previously successfully supervised projects with crews ranging from 2 to 50 personnel, meeting safety, quality and production goals.

     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, such as indoor and outdoor lighting systems and timing
  • Knowledge of MHSA & OHSA Standards.
  • Knowledge of the installation of cable tray systems, tray cable installation, heat trace, rigid conduit bending and threading, motor control centers and instrumentation.
  • Skill in planning, designing, organizing, and executing electrical upgrade projects mandated by changing codes, regulations, and safety
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems, devise, and carry out effective plans for repairing problems.
  • Ability to communicate technical information, listen to instructions and ask questions, as neces sary.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and install control circuits and compute electrical
  • Ability to read, to understand, and to interpret electrical plans, complex circuit schematics and blueprints.
  • Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal
  • Ability to climb ladders, sufficient mobility to perform duties in small spaces by crouching, stooping, or kneeling and physical ability to perform tasks requiring strength and finger

     

This full-time position receives a competitive salary commensurate with experience and position responsibilities. WORK SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
