University of Utah Zoology Digitization Technician in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

The Natural History Museum of Utah is currently engaged in an exciting initiative to digitize 350,000 natural history specimens, artifacts, and records. The goal is to image and transcribe Vertebrate Zoology archival materials and specimens associated with the Vertebrate Collections. The data will be stored and managed in the Arctos online database system. As part of our initiative, we are seeking two Vertebrate Zoology digitization undergraduate technicians. As a digitization technician, you will be an important member of the team working towards preserving records in perpetuity and making collections globally available to researchers and the public. This position is responsible for imaging, databasing, and transcribing records associated with Museum specimens. The technician will collaborate with the Collections Digitization Coordinator and Collections Manager.
