BANK OF UTAH Trust Operations Analyst in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

esponsible for management of all Personal Trust operations, functions, sub-accounting systems and account administration. Also works closely with Corporate Trust operations to facilitate operational needs. Serves as backup to AVP of Trust Operations & Service Manager. 

Experience/Skills necessary to perform duties:

·          Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.

·          Responsible for financial analysis of the Personal Trust department & responsible for assisting in Corporate Trust projects and ad--hoc reports. 

·          Responsible for overseeing the billing process & assisting the Trust Operations Assistant.

·          Must be proficient in computer skills including:  , Excel, etc.

·          Must be able to identify, analyze and report key business indicators impacting the growth, profitability and achievement of strategic objectives. Attention to detail and accuracy required. 

·          Responsible for monthly financial reports, & providing analytical & problem solving support for key managers.

·          Excellent verbal, written communication skill, organizational, & prioritization skills. 

·          Must be hard working and self-motivated.

Preferred Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL, report building, & experience with trust software systems

Regular Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Establish procedures to maintain trust accounting systems with proper backups, timely installation of program updates etc.

·        Establish modified codes for overall accounting system.

·        Establish and maintain procedures to assure that accurate information is posted to individual trust accounts in a timely fashion.  Review trust software posting procedures periodically to ensure accuracy

·        Prepare and file IRS documents and security transactions.  Assist trust officers with fiduciary income tax reporting.  Communicate and work directly with vendors to ensure data is accurate and reported timely.

·        Maintains and analyzes the department's data, searching for ways to increase profitability.

·        Work with Corporate Trust operations to facilitate operational needs.

·        Help to implement, streamline, and utilize software programs.  Help to facilitate reporting, account set-up and verification, monitor cash movements and invoices and bill collection. 

·        Review billing process and ensure trust fees are charged per approved fee schedule.  Monitor software user support fees, supplies etc.

·        Prepare internal and external communication in conjunction with supervisor.  Prepare trust review sheets for Trust Committee. Prepare Trust Committee minutes, as well as monthly reports and ad hoc reports as requested.
