Description

Works with the Consumables Director to develop, implement, and sustain the plastic parts team strategy.  Coordinate team activities to achieve company and department goals.  Work with other departments to create and improve processes that lead to better execution of company SOPs and WIDs.  Direct the growth of the team while ensuring all engineers are trained and understand their roles within the company and project teams that they are assigned to.

Essential Job Duties Include:

  • Ensure all team engineers perform work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of bioMerieux Quality System.
  • Development and implementation of department initiatives.
  • Organizing the engineering space and equipment to meet company plans.
  • Ensuring engineering SOP's meet the needs of the engineering team.
  • Development, maintenance, and implementation of engineering WID's that are compliant with bioMerieux quality system, cGMP, and ISO 13485 requirements.
  • Continual process improvements to cross departmental activities.
  • Technical Leadership.
  • Hiring of engineering staff.
  • Project resource allocation.
  • Design Control Process development and implementation
  • Training for engineering staff on bioMerieux, PDP, DCP and SOP's Education and Experience Requirements:
  • BS Engineering
  • MS degree (desirable, but not required) * 5+ years of experience in engineering, project management, or related areas. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Excellent planning skills, management of personnel, and negotiation skills. Ability to work with other departments to coordinate activities. less than 10% travel required
