Job Description:

L3Harris Broadband Communications Sector invites applications for the role of Specialist, Software Engineer - Test, based in Salt Lake City, UT. This position is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic professional to contribute to the testing and quality assurance of cutting-edge networked data links and subassemblies within L3Harris Technologies.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute automated test software to ensure product reliability and performance.

  • Define and oversee product test requirements, with a focus on outsourcing strategies.

  • Create, update, and manage comprehensive test procedures and plans.

  • Engage actively in product design reviews, offering insights and recommendations for testability.

  • Establish design-for-test guidelines to streamline the testing process.

  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis to address and resolve failures.

  • Validate test systems through beta testing and verification processes.

  • Troubleshoot and debug products at an engineering level, enhancing product functionality.

  • Lead and coordinate test development projects, including system upgrades and routine maintenance.

  • Monitor and communicate progress on testing, debugging, and engineering tasks effectively.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related Engineering experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance is required.

  • Proficiency in Electrical Engineering with expertise in both digital and Radio Frequency (RF) domains.

  • Demonstrated experience with LabVIEW and TestStand (CLD and CTD).

  • Experience in writing automated test software, developing and maintaining test procedures and plans, performing root cause analysis on failures, beta testing and verification of test systems, engineering-level product debugging.
