Curriculum Specialist reports to the Curriculum Director and under their leadership will process program curriculum exceptions requests through the institutional approval process, manage exceptions communications and maintain decision database. Curriculum Specialist may also assist with reviewing catalog content, perform data entry, and supports curriculum systems and processes. This office is not responsible for curriculum development.

This position may work 20 hours per week.

• Responsible for processing student petitions for curriculum exceptions.
• Responsible for routing curriculum exceptions to the appropriate programs for approval.
• Communicating decisions about curriculum exceptions to students and Graduation Office.
• Maintain database of curriculum exception decisions.
• Support the maintenance of SLCC General Catalog through data entry, proofreading, and formatting.
• Support other areas of Curriculum and Academic Systems (Scheduling, Transfer Articulation, Credit for Prior Learning) as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
