SALT LAKE COMMUNITY COLLEGE Specialist I, Testing Services, Taylorsville, Evenings (PT) in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Under limited supervision, the test proctor's responsibilities include welcoming and checking in examinees, verifying ID, and administering a variety of exams diverse in format and instruction accurately in a fast- paced environment. The proctor monitors candidates at all times during testing. The proctor works and interacts effectively with students, instructors, and college staff to create a secure, efficient and courteous testing environment.

-Greet testers and verify valid ID's for testing. -Provide instructions to student(s) regarding exam(s). -Seat examinees, launch exams, and enforce exam time limits. -Proctor exams including monitoring examinees via video surveillance or walk through. -Monitor for academic misconduct, intervene upon finding academic misconduct, and report findings to Assistant Director and faculty. -Ensure integrity of exam material and act quickly during academic dishonesty. -Complete walk through of testing areas to monitor for academic misconduct. -Handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. -Organize and file exam materials both in paper and electronic formats accurately. -Look up student information in College Information System(s). -Enforce and uphold policies and procedures firmly and courteously. -Ability to work in past paced and demanding environment(s). -Provide accurate and consistent information in a concise and professional manner. -Provide excellent customer service to all via in person, email, and phone. -Must be able to multi-task and resolve issues as they arise. -Assist departmental personnel with other duties as needed and assigned. -Maintain cleanliness of check-in, check-out, testing areas and labs. -Operate office equipment (i.e., printers, scanners, exam software and exam tools). -Answer phones and respond to emails. -Other duties as assigned.
