SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT

POSITION SUMMARY Okland is looking for a commercial construction superintendent with a history of success on challenging vertical construction projects with unique architectural design elements. The ideal candidate has consistently managed $30-$100M project scope while maintaining schedule, developing phasing/sequencing, executing complex logistics setup and schedule milestones, and has experience interfacing with clients. ABOUT US Founded in 1918, Okland Construction operates as a regional general contracting and construction management company with now nearly 1,000 employees and growing. It supervises the architectural, engineering, bidding, contracting, building, inspection from the beginning to the end of the project and specializes in concrete self-preform on large commercial scale.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervision/Personnel * Supervises and schedules craft employees and/or other on-site company personnel in person. Assumes responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project. * Accompanies any injured Okland employee to the care facility, and follows up with them on any subsequent visit to the care provider. * Acts as a mentor and encourages subordinate growth and development. * Seeks to build morale of all team members by positive reinforcement, feedback, etc. * Follows company hiring and dismissal procedures in accordance with Okland's corporate values and legal requirements. * Maintains all employee time cards and distribution of payroll stubs; ensures employee time is turned in and properly coded. * Mentors and encourages subordinate growth and development, and builds the morale of all project team members through positive reinforcement, feedback, etc. Project Management * Ensures that all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Documents all violations, notifies project management, and recommends/implements corrective actions as required. * Seeks input from staff on how to improve process, project, company, etc. * Ensures everyone is working using the most current drawings.Inputs all correspondence into the drawings, request for information (RFI), architectural supplement instructions, etc. * Ensures that the project site and construction activities are being constantly documented in writing and in photos. * Ensures "job closeout" procedures are followed, including the punch list, and verifies its completion. *...
