What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineer at Applied Materials, you’ll dive deep into ground-breaking technologies—like machine learning and AI—pushing the boundaries to craft novel software solutions that solve our customers’ high-value problems. You’ll work on interesting and challenging projects, contributing your expertise in intricate systems, deciphering code, and anticipating software behaviors to ensure Applied remains the leader in the semiconductor and display sectors.​

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance in requirement analysis, and software design and development

  • Full Stack Development, client, server, microservices

  • Debugging and troubleshooting systems

  • Commitment to code quality, automated testing and adherence to industry best practices

  • Refactoring, simplifying and modernizing existing code and architecture

  • Providing maintenance and support for software system

  • Handling complex tasks while implementing professional skills, demonstrating initiative and professional discretion

  • Collaborate, cooperate, and negotiate technical designs with other software teams to develop reusable and well-integrated software solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field, such as computer science, information management, software/system engineering, cyber security or mathematics .

  • Familiarity with the basic theories and concepts of software engineering

  • Proficiency in web development languages and frameworks (HTML, Typescript, CSS, Angular, React, etc)

  • Proficiency in backend development languages and frameworks (C#, C++, Java, Python, NodeJs, etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of related experience  

  • SQL and NoSQL database experience

  • Microservice Architecture

  • Event Driven Architecture

  • CI/CD experience

U.S. Salary Range:

$112,000.00 - $154,000.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
