The Role

The Sr. Manager Finance is a key role within the Business Finance organization to manage Lumen’s Corporate Governance initiatives. Partners across the FP&A teams to enable end-to-end governance and decision support for Lumen’s Enterprise key strategic investments. The role will help shape the strategy, develop processes and drive execution through actionable insights.

This role has been designated as fully remote, US.
The Main Responsibilities
Partner with business FP&A, leveraging interpersonal skills, building partnerships based on communication, collaboration and value-based relationships.
Apply financial expertise with a firm understanding of finance and accounting concepts, superb analytical abilities and strong attention to detail.
Participate in or lead cross-departmental transformation initiatives.
Participate in the development of the business units’ plans and programs; provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making.
Works with finance leadership to build the financial infrastructure for corporate governance processes in partnership with the business.
Establish metrics tracking and insights to ensure business accountability for capital project benefits and costs.
Monitor ongoing corporate governance reporting, including trends, variances and issues; take appropriate action including proactively notifying business or financial partners/superiors.
Develop management reports in collaboration with business and finance teams.
Formulate questions and analyses for the team to research, creating learning opportunities.
Gather, manage and manipulate data from multiple sources for analysis; identify trends, extract insights and deliver actionable presentations of findings.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on P&L management.
Proven experience in leading and transformation programs.
Strong knowledge of technology industry trends and challenges.
Experience with system conversion and implementation of a new ERP system; SAP experience is a plus.
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis tools.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software and ERP systems.
Strong financial and analytical skills, including analyzing margins, performing variance analyses, price impact calculations, etc.
Able to communicate clearly and succinctly in writing, presentations and verbally to multiple levels within the organization.
A proven track record of cross-functional management of multiple projects concurrently with strong business acumen. Ability to drive projects to closure.
Comfort with ambiguity and able to apply a set of tools or a framework to an ambiguous problem by identifying key metrics, mapping the process, and performing root cause analysis.
An ability to flex between the strategic and tactical as necessary.
Experience in leading x-functional teams
Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

$111,480 - $148,630 in these states: AR ID KY LA ME MS NE SC SD
$117,340 - $156,450 in these states: AL AZ FL GA IA IN KS MO MT ND NM OH OK PA TN UT VT WI WV WY
$123,210 - $164,280 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$129,080 - $172,100 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
