We are currently seeking a Senior Manager, FP&A Manufacturing & Supply Chain, to join our Boart Longyear team in Salt Lake City, UT.

The Senior Manager, FP&A Manufacturing & Supply Chain will report to the Director, FP&A Products and provide value-added internal financial analysis and decision support for the VP of Manufacturing and President of the Products division. The reporting and analysis activities will allow Senior Management and others to understand business performance and identify key areas of strength as well as opportunities for improvement. This is a key position within the Finance organization with nearly daily exposure to Senior Management.

This individual will need to be a tech-savvy FP&A leader who has strong experience in an industrial/operational setting and understands the complexities of a global corporation. The Senior Manager will need to have a strong continuous learning background and will be comfortable developing and using visualization tools, AI, ML, or simple using power query etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA

  • 7+ years’ experience in FP&A in an industrial business (e.g. mining, oil and gas, construction, transportation), ideally in a mid to large size and/or high growth organization with a global footprint.

  • FP&A experience directly in manufacturing and/or supply chain management is highly preferred.

  • Advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint skills are required.

  • The candidate will possess a knowledge of ERP systems, financial reporting tools, BI Analytics platforms, complex analysis, and financial modeling.

  • Experience with Hyperion and QlikView is a plus

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions from analysis.

  • Experience with a private-equity portfolio company is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with VP of Manufacturing and Supply Chain leadership to provide day-to-day decision support from a financial and analytical perspective.

  • Provide longer term guidance and strategic support to facilitate to drive cost improvement and operational efficiencies within the organizations

  • Maintain and recommend improvements in monthly reporting and KPI’s, including insightful variance analysis, thorough explanations and root-cause analysis

  • Evaluate, analyze and track capital investments to ensure the team executes on financial commitments

  • Prepare consolidated budgets and reforecasts for the manufacturing and supply chain teams. Actively participate in presenting materials to Executive team.

  • Create and prepare ad hoc financial and operational modeling and business case analyses to drive better decision making.

  • Coordinate with FP&A, Accounting, Corporate Functions, and Operating Divisions during month end, budgets, reforecasts and other analyses. Interact regularly with Senior Management.

  • Other duties as needed
