Job SummaryThe Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to function as a member of the pediatric infectious diseases team. The team currently consists of 10 physicians, 2 to 3 fellows, 3 advanced practice providers and 2 registered nurses; 2 medical assistants are assigned to the division from the department. This position will be responsible for delivering professional care to pediatric infectious diseases patients. This position will include primarily include consultation and patient care in the inpatient setting at Primary Childrens Hospital in Salt Lake City, telehealth visits across the Intermountain System, and may include in-person patient care at the Primary Childrens Miller Campus in Lehi. The distribution of these responsibilities is variable. As part of the patient care team, this position is responsible for providing optimal patient care through effective clinical practice; education of the patient, patients family, clinical staff, and others; consultation with other healthcare providers.
