Sinclair Broadcast Group Promotions Coordinator in Salt Lake City, Utah

KUTV, Utah’s #1 news station is seeking a Promotions Coordinator ! This position implements all sales department events and promotions for the stations. Success requires superb organizational skills, strong attention to detail, excellent time management and multi-tasking skills, the ability to work independently, take initiative and work well under pressure. Further qualifications include someone who is creative, energetic, hardworking, and a strong communicator.

Job Description:

  • Brainstorm, develop, create, plan and implement sales department marketing events, partnerships and promotions.

  • Work with marketing consultants, clients and station departments to execute and fulfill sponsorship contract obligations / expectations.

  • Work with on-air talent to coordinate event details and assist on-site when needed.

  • Implement on-air sponsorship deliverables for all sales teams.

  • Assist Promotions Director in the development of sales concepts – including but not limited to the preparation of sales presentations, copy writing, inter-department communication, sales contracts and event production – including attending sales calls alongside marketing consultants.

  • Assist in identifying creative opportunities to increase revenue with existing sponsors.

  • Manage outside vendors.

  • Maintain department master calendar (including promotions, contesting, and partnership start and end dates; sales remote and event dates, etc.)

  • In addition to SLC, assist other markets with sponsorship campaigns when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of new media, digital interactive initiatives, social media and content.

  • Four-year degree in marketing or related sales/TV/digital marketing discipline preferred.

  • Some experience in a Media sales environment preferable.

  • Extremely strong organizational, written and communication skills.

  • Hands on coordinating and managing of social events and promotions.

  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office experience a plus.

  • Up to date with latest social media and influencer marketing trends.

  • Willingness to learn new systems and programs.

  • Eagerness to grow and take on more responsibilities over time.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, in-office

*Pending promotions events, work schedule will occasionally require evenings and/or weekends with potential for occasional travel.
