Job Summary

The U of U School of Medicine is seeking a work study student to assist with scholarly projects undertaken by Dr. Candace Chow, Director of Education Research in the Dean’s Office of Education. These projects involve different types of investigations (both qualitative and quantitative) focused on teaching and learning in the School of Medicine. Projects often involve collaboration with School of Medicine faculty and students. The selected candidate will work a flexible schedule, 10 – 15 hours per week. In-person, hybrid, or remote work arrangements are available.

Responsibilities

  1. Input, manage, analyze and report project-specific data using Descript, Dedoose, STATA , and/or Excel

  2. Coordinate logistics of project events and tracking of project activities

  3. Provide administrative support as needed

Preferences

  • Students who have previous qualitative research experience and/or are majoring in a research-focused social and behavioral science program is a plus!

  • Special consideration will be given to students who are interested in working over the course of several semesters. We offer a textbook loan program which provides up to $500 toward the purchase of required textbooks to students who are invited to work for us for a second semester.
