Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) is one of the most technically advanced designers and manufacturers of lightweight composite aerospace structures, subassemblies and components.  For more than 50 years, AEC has innovated advanced composite solutions for defense and commercial industries in applications from large commercial transports to fighter jets and commercial and military rotorcraft.

Our composite design and fabrication expertise can be found on many commercial platforms such as Boeing's 7-series family, the Airbus A380 aircraft as well as Sikorsky S-76 helicopter.  For defense programs, AEC provides a wide range of products including complete structural assemblies, flight critical components, primary and secondary structural elements for platforms such as the F-35 Lightning II, the CH-53K Heavy-lift Helicopter and the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM).

As a Federal Contractor we are mandated that all employees have received the Covid-19 vaccine.  Proof of vaccination is required. Paints aircraft interior, exterior and piece parts. Prepares for painting by masking, stripping, washing aircraft sections and components. Blends and mixes paints, inks, and coatings to proper spraying consistency. Performs detail and touch-ups. Sets-up and coordinates processes for painting production parts. Primary Responsibilities: * Prepares and assembles commercial and military aircraft products. Mixes adhesives, paint or resin systems, applies them to piece parts, assembles and secures as required for curing. Repairs surface blemishes, IAW written instructions. Use of power tools, sanders, drills, paint guns, routers, sand blasters and other applicable tools to the manufacturing of paint and assemble aircraft parts. Maintain order and cleanliness in assembly/finishing area * Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job

Experience/Education/Skills

Our Ideal Candidates: To excel in this role, you will need the following qualifications: * High School Diploma or Equivalent. * Proficiency in shop mathematics and the ability to calculate resin ratios. * Skill in comprehending and implementing both verbal and written instructions from supervisors and engineering orders. * Familiarity with operating trimming equipment, cutters, grinders, and drills to achieve precise part dimensions within designated drawing requirements and shop order tolerances. * Capability to read and interpret blueprints, a critical skill for ensuring accurate work. * Adept manual dexterity to carry out intricate tasks with precision. * Status as a US Person, as required for Department of Defense Contractor positions.
