Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Provides administrative support functions for the Division. Performs overall administration support for the training program and provides customer service to training participants.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Three (3) years of office administrative support experience; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides administrative support for project team and assigned work groups. Takes minutes during meetings, transcribes documents, and maintains records of actions.
Composes a variety of correspondence, documents, and reports; formats, proofreads, and edits.
Provides customer service by answering phones, greeting visitors, relaying messages, and distributing forms, documentation, and information.
Maintains calendars and schedules.
Acts as an administrative liaison to other County agencies and employees
Prepares and maintains administrative documents.
Develops, maintains, organizes, stores, and monitors reports, correspondence, files, forms, and documents.
Coordinates all administrative aspects of classes and meetings, including registrations, logistics, and communication with participants,
Collects, researches, analyzes, and organizes materials and information for projects and reports.
Assists program implementation.

Knowledge of:
Business English and mathematics
Advanced word processing and spreadsheet software applications
Record and report preparation, maintenance, archiving, and filing
Professional telephone and customer service etiquette
Filing methods and techniques
Skills and Abilities to:
Follow verbal and written procedures and instructions
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Organize workloads and prioritize tasks to adhere to deadlines
Work independently under minimal supervision
Develop, implement, and maintain filing and recordkeeping systems
Interpret and apply policies and procedures
Operate standard office equipment
Flexibility with assignments, environments, and co-workers
Professionally represent organization both externally and internally.
Manage several projects simultaneously
TEMPORARY POSITIONS:
An "At Will", FLSA non-exempt employee who is not eligible for County benefits and who must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.

Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy.
Are not considered merit employees.
Are "at will" employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing.
