JOB SUMMARYProvides support to Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) students and faculty in the MLS Teaching Laboratory under the supervision of the Laboratory Coordinator.Ensures smooth operation of laboratory courses in the areas of hematology, immunology, immunohematology, chemistry, body fluids analysis, microbiology, molecular diagnostics, hemostasis, parasitology and mycology.Performs routine clinical laboratory assays and quality control assurance activities using manual and automated methods and procedures. Assists students in learning laboratory techniques and principles in their MLS laboratory-related coursework.Under the supervision of the Laboratory Coordinator, works collaboratively with other teaching laboratory staff to implement approved health and safety practices in the Teaching Laboratory.See https://medicine.utah.edu/pathology/medical-laboratory-science/.
