Aston Carter Materials Planner in Salt Lake City, Utah

Materials PlannerJob Description

As a Materials Planner, you will ensure the timely supply of direct materials to cover customer orders in line with the production plan. Your responsibilities will include placing and tracking purchase orders, expediting materials based on demand changes, and coordinating material-related parameters. You will monitor inventory turnover and initiate corrective measures, authorize air freight, analyze obsolete materials, and report on shortages. Additionally, you will lead supplier calls, conduct delivery meetings to improve on-time delivery and lead-time reductions, analyze coverage and future demands, and escalate urgent issues to the material manager or strategic buyer. You will also seek alternate sources and request air freight quotations as needed, maintaining relevant data in SAP.
