The Roy lab at the Moran Eye Center is seeking a research assistant. to work on projects aimed at understanding visual processing in the retina. Current research in the lab utilizes state of the art electrophysiological, imaging and computational approaches for studying signal processing in the retina.The candidate will work under the guidance of the PI. The candidate is expected to work closely with lab personnel and perform tasks such as processing retinal (and brain) tissues for immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence, imaging tissues using confocal microscope, and analyzing confocal images using software such as ImageJ and Matlab. The candidate will work with other lab members and assist in other tasks as needed. The candidate will help generate preliminary figures for scholarly work for submission to peer-review journals.
