We are looking for a Designated Leader - Operational Services to maximize the value of assets by using a reliability lens and performing various predictive maintenance to increase the life cycle of the asset. The Designated Leader will oversee the contractor service providers that maintain the light/medium duty mobile equipment, mobile cranes and tires for this equipment and ensure that the contractors are maintaining the equipment to appropriate standards of safety, reliability and availability for the customer base. The role will have accountability for the Mine, Concentrator and General Plant equipment. Reporting to the Operational Services - Manager, and working in a diverse team within Rio Tinto, you will: * Perform continuous improvement on assets to maximize the lifecycle of our assets. * Manage project-based tasks and business improvement-based duties. * Monitor working practices and adherence to safety procedures to ensure safety of employees working in the area. * Manage Contractor Compliance through Avetta (our contractor portal). * Oversee Contractor Management and the adherence to the Rio Tinto processes and guidelines from service providers. * Manage budgeted cost allocated to contractors. * Assist in the replacement strategy for older mobile equipment. * Assist in the report out of repair time frame of the equipment to stake holders. * Authorizing work to be performed through daily work permits. * Assist in planning the repairs for the upcoming weeks. * Assist in determining call outs for maintenance coverage throughout the plants. * Have extensive stakeholder engagement and management skills. * Understand reliability principles and life cycle. * Perform pareto charts, root cause analysis. What you'll bring * A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team * A High school diploma or GED * 3+ year of experience in facilities and mobile maintenance within a processing, manufacturing or a related field * 2+ year of prior leadership experience or leading contractors and vendors * Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization * Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite It will also be beneficial if you have: * Prior experience working in a Collective Bargaining Agreement environment * Bachelor's degree What we offer We are committed to providing our employees witha generous benefits package.
