Job Description

Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) is one of the most technically advanced designers and manufacturers of lightweight composite aerospace structures, subassemblies and components. The Opportunity: AEC is looking for a Contracts Manager to support our growing business in our Salt Lake City, Utah office.  This individual would report to the Sr. Manager, Contracts and be responsible for performing proposal and contract management duties for large commercial and U.S. Government contracts and agreements. Primary Responsibilities: In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following values: Safety, Accountable, Integrity, Respect, Passion, and Innovation. Responsible for health and safety of themselves and coworkers. * Develop and coordinate cohesive proposals, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory guidelines. * Assess business risks in solicitations and advise management on contract terms and liability. * Collaborate cross-functionally to provide legal and strategic counsel. * Lead and execute negotiations, ensuring contract documents accurately reflect agreements. * Manage contract performance, compliance, and funding, addressing issues and monitoring progress throughout the life of the contract. * Manages all change activity. Submits and negotiates all changes and claims with the customer. * Organizes the technical data, delivery schedule, terms and conditions and other contractual elements into a cohesive proposal. * Reviews cost data and other detailed information to assure that bids are fully compliant to any applicable commercial or U.S. Government requirements. * Maintains contract value used in all quarterly financial reporting. * Facilitate customer communication, contract amendments, and timely closure while safeguarding company proprietary rights. * Maintain thorough contract records in line with company policies and regulations, contract terms, FAR and other Government regulations or law. * Serves as contractual expert to business area management.
