Job Summary and Qualifications

The Consulting Technical Analyst (CTA) will be a resource to the technical personnel assigned to market and/or division responsibilities and coordinates consistent support of technical services and implementation activity within their scope. This individual also assists in organization of highly complex issues regarding technical services, assists in facility technical projects, assists in developing strategies for training and tools for Technical Services across the division and participates in onboarding new technical staff. The CTA champions standardization, utilization, optimization, and use of best practices in Technical Services. The CTA participates in project planning, strategic planning, and supplements on-site support to technical resources, as needed. The CTA understands and supports a broad range of ITG equipment, defines standards, and creates supporting technical documentation. The CTA provides advanced hands-on technical support across a broad range of technical areas. The CTA actively identifies problems and escalates to the appropriate team. The CTA adheres to and supports HCA IT policies and procedures. The CTA recommends process changes that improve implementation, maintenance and support of facility-based IT equipment.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Builds and maintains relationships with business operations, ITG leaders, and vendors

  • • Participates in IT project planning, and execution, as needed

  • • Assists in the development of the budget and develops project cost estimates for division and/or facilities

  • • Serves as a tier-III escalation point for technology issues.

  • • Provides routine reporting on project status of market/division-wide technical projects and efforts

  • • Meets with facility-level IT teams, as needed, to align strategy, services, and coordinate implementation activities

  • • Develops strategies for technical training and tools across the division.

  • • Participates in meetings, committees and continuing education to improve individual, departmental and organizational performance

  • • Mentors and trains Facility Technical Analysts.

  • • Acts as a knowledge resource to technical teams.

  • • Creates an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolutions, cross-training, and process improvement within the area and across organizational boundaries

  • • Manages and communicates a clear vision of project objectives and motivating team members

  • • Aids and trains users on proper use of division and/or facility technology

  • • Logs and tracks incident SLAs; reviews incident and request tracking databases; comparative reporting; dashboard creation and monitoring

  • • Collaboratively works with division and corporate ITG personnel to ensure that division priorities and standards are achieved

  • • Ensures that the design and use of technology adhere to established division and HCA policies, procedures, and standards

  • • Implements and supports the broadest range of facility based ITG equipment, including but not limited to network equipment, servers, terminals, personal computers, printers, cabling, and related software products.

  • • Is available for critical event escalations in a support capacity.

  • • Communicates and escalates incidents and requests beyond scope of ability to senior service resources • Investigates hardware problems and performs minor system hardware and communication connection repairs

  • • May be required to provide 24x7 on-call support based on division IT staff rotation

  • • Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care and employee information

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Required:

• Ability to manage ambiguity

• Demonstrated ability to multi-task; Possesses strong analytical skills

• Project management experience; Provides onsite technology support on projects

• Demonstrates broad knowledge of technology and solutions

• Demonstrated customer orientation; strength in analytical, math, and reasoning skills

• Effectively communicates verbally and in writing

• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications

• Must be able to drive to assigned sites to complete work

• Must be able to travel to remote facilities. (air/vehicle travel)

EDUCATION: • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems preferred or equivalent work experience

EXPERIENCE: • 7+ years of general work experience (IT or healthcare experience preferred).

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: • Certifications in Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, Project related are preferred. • Valid state driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable personal transportation capable of transporting both employee and standard work equipment
