University of Utah CFA Finance and Operations Officer in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

The Finance and Operations Officer (FOO) for the College of Fine Arts and campus professional arts organizations will be responsible for directing overall financial management and operations. The FOO reports to the Dean and serves on the Deans Cabinet and CFA Executive Committee. The FOO serves as a key advisor to the Dean and assists with strategic planning. Duties and essential functions of this position also include:1. Financial forecasting, budgeting, data analysis, reporting, policy compliance, and controls;2. Identifying and prioritizing resource needs, strategizing ways to maximize resources to address needs;3. Developing the annual budget proposal and presenting it with the Dean to the Provost's budget advisory committee;4. Collaborating with leadership across the College in developing short- and long-term strategic business direction and plans in the context of a new budget model;5. Facilitating business and financial efficiencies between University arts entities to optimize use of resources;6. Identifying, responding to, and resolving any significant financial/operational issues that may emerge;7. Overseeing CFA facilities in partnership with Chairs and Directors and mediating issues related to space planning, renovations, utilities disruptions, and deferred maintenance issues;8. Serving as the College Safety Committee Chair as appointed by the Dean;9. Overseeing the Colleges human resources and compensation structure, particularly under the UCareer project;10. Providing leadership, guidance, and evaluation to the business officers supporting the University arts organizations;11. Leading communication with and reporting to the Central Administration Office of Budget and Planning and Institutional Analysis;12. Serving on various related University and College committees.The incumbent will support the University of Utahs goals and mission and act as a catalyst among departments, faculty, staff, students, and external entities to ensure continuity and quality of financial administration efforts in the CFA.
