The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a Broadcast Engineer to manage and maintain broadcasting equipment, ensure uninterrupted transmission, and uphold quality standards for audio and video signals. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, operating live event setups, and collaborating with production teams to meet technical requirements. This position requires a strong understanding of broadcast engineering, compliance standards, and emerging technologies, along with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Manage, maintain, and inventory broadcasting equipment, including cameras, microphones, video and audio mixing consoles, servers, routers, and transmission systems. * Troubleshoot technical issues, both hardware and software, in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted broadcasting. * Monitor and maintain the quality and integrity of audio and video signals throughout the production and transmission process. Convert video and audio to digital formats that follow Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules and regulations. * Coordinate with producers, directors, and other team members to ensure technical requirements are met for live broadcasts and recorded programs. * Set up and operate equipment for live events, including studio productions, remote broadcasts, and on-location shoots. * Implement and maintain broadcast automation systems, including scheduling, playlist management, and on-air graphics. * Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure connectivity, security, and proper integration of broadcasting systems. * Keep updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced broadcasting capabilities. * Train and assist staff in the operation of broadcasting equipment and systems. * Maintain accurate documentation of equipment, configurations, and procedures. * Perform other related duties as assigned.
