Our Portfolio Manager manages all the day-to-day credit and operational activities of our Self Storage Bridge Loan portfolio. Leads and manages all activities related to the on-going maintenance of the existing portfolio through timely collection of client reporting requirements and covenant testing, completing financial analysis on loan parties, monitoring loan maturities, and assisting with loan sales. Partners directly with the Vice President of Bridge Lending and is a key member of the overall Bridge Loan team. Works closely with accounting, partner services, legal, and other internal groups, as well as directly with clients, to manage, monitor, and reduce risk associated with the loans in the portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities-

  • Create, manage, and maintain comprehensive loan credit files for all Bridge Loans

  • Oversee the loan covenant monitoring process, including the timely request, collection, and review of financial statements, and the testing of loan financial covenants

  • Manage the collection and verification of property and liability insurance

  • Track and monitor loan and interest rate cap maturities, including the preparation of accurate payoff statements

  • Conduct thorough financial analyses to support loan management decisions

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all post-closing loan requirements

  • Assist in the strategic sale of loan portfolios

  • Cultivate and maintain servicing relationships with our lending partners

  • Respond to and coordinate borrower and lending partner inquires professionally

  • Support various portfolio-wide ad hoc projects, providing expertise and assistance as needed

Job Specifications-

  • Proven ability to multitask while maintaining a close attention to detail

  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems

  • Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with clients, partners, and internal teams

  • Demonstrated collaboration and teamwork abilities, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment

  • Advanced organizational and problem-solving capabilities

  • Proficient in PC operations, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and various web applications

Education and Experience-

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, accounting, or other business-related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial loan servicing experience, preferably in commercial real estate

  • Familiar with basic loan documentation

  • Experience reviewing and analyzing basic company and personal financial statements preferred

  • Experience handling problem loans preferred
