Under minimal supervision, teach jewelry classes for the Department of Visual Art & Design.

1. Follows the course curriculum outline, prepares and delivers lectures and other classroom activities
2. Supports department assessment initiatives
3. Demonstrates and supports professional commitment to division, school, and college mission and values

4. Follows SLCC policies and procedures

5. Becomes familiar with, and abides by, all college policies with immediate priority given to those policies that govern interactions with colleagues, staff, administrators, and departments throughout the organization

6. Maintains professional etiquette in communications with students, staff, faculty, and administrators
7. Provides appropriate and timely feedback for all assignments
8. Returns graded assignments in a timely fashion per department standards
9. Maintains student attendance records (for Financial Aid purposes) and grades
10. Conducts a variety of appropriate evaluations of student performance
11. Informs students of progress-to-date periodically and assigns and submits grades by published deadlines
12. Assists in maintaining a safe and mutually respectful instructional environment
13. Prepares and submits incident reports to Dean of Student Services for inappropriate student behavior as defined by the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities Policy
14. Maintains professional and collegial behavior
15. Handles/responds to student concerns/complaints, and responds to student communications and inquiries promptly (generally within 12 days)
16. Maintains professional appearance as defined by the discipline and/or College procedure
17. Completes all required employee trainings
18. Knows and enforces FERPA guidelines
19. Provides ADA accommodations as requested
20. Other duties as assigned
