AStaffing Coordinatoris responsible for generating work schedules for employees using the software system and ensuring that adequate staffing is in place for each shift for the clinical team.Advances the value that the resident comes first. The employee values the Community as the residents home and works to create attributes of home and models person centered care.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months experience in long-term care and an understanding of healthcare scheduling desired.
  • Previous experience as a CNA, Dietary Aide or Transportation Aide is a plus.
  • Experience with various computer programs and proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Must be organized, efficient and can multi-task job duties.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for scheduling clinical staff within the department according to the staffing plan of the Community.
  • Records departmental employee absences and consults with department directors to adjust schedules as needed to meet staffing requirements.
  • Maintains the time and attendance system by reviewing for missing punches and entering staff schedules.
  • Monitors employees who are approaching overtime.
  • Compiles, maintains and updates daily staffing report and posts as required.
  • Maintains a list of current PRN employees and creates a rotating schedule of work hours.
  • Advances the value that residents come first by maintaining appropriate staffing levels and reporting accidents, incidents, or other resident needs to the clinical supervisor.
  • Follows established safety regulations. Adheres to fire, smoking, equipment and safety policies and procedures.
  • Protects the residents and PMMA by not disclosing or using resident health information for any purpose other than treatment for the resident, payment and operations.
  • Values and respects the choices and preferences of residents and works to create attributes of home, with emphasis on person centered care.
  • Upholds employee rights and confidentiality. Fosters a supportive environment for team members to address scheduling needs and concerns.
