POSITION: Administrative Assistant to VP and Patient Resource Liaison

DUTIES:

  • Provides clerical and administrative support to the VP of Patient Care Services. Assists patients and their caregivers to navigate the healthcare system and ensures optimal patient account accuracy. This role assists patients with communication, navigating appointments, assists with the coordination of health inequity resources and support, helps patients to understand their rights, and offers patient portal navigation services. Receives patient concerns and works with directly with the VPs to assure appropriate action is taken to address patient concerns.
  1. Schedules PCS meetings; records, transcribes and distributes minutes as requested a. Assist with retreat planning as applicable to include location, food, and projector needs. Also assist with agenda development and readiness.
  2. Coordinates VP Calendars a. Each week, review for the upcoming week and discuss potential conflicts for rescheduling b. Each am, look at schedule to see if there are any opportunities (ensure not double booked) c. At the end of each day, review next day schedule and print out daily schedule for VPs. d. Ensure HRRMC events are scheduled in (trac star ceremony, community events).
  3. Coordinates, updates, and provides support of PolicyStat and Meditract for PCS departments.
  4. Takes a lead role in keeping the AOC manual updated with input from the VPs. 5. Coordinates candidates and the interview team as requested.
  5. Maintains knowledge and appropriate skill sets to utilize the computer software systems, navigate appointments, manage telephone calls, patient portal navigation, and assist patients and the providers as needed in the hospital and clinic settings.
  6. Acts as a liaison between the hospital, and local/consulting physician offices to foster cooperative relationships and problem solves identified patient encounter opportunities. a. When a patient call is received, connects with the appropriate VP to assist in real-time resolution.
  7. Works directly with the Grievance officer to facilitate the documentation and coordination of patient concerns.
  8. Cross train to support CEO Executive Assistant
  9. Trains CEO Admin to cover as resource liaison when not available.

REQUIREMENTS: * Must have a high school diploma or equivalent * Two years of relevant clerical/administrative experience required. * Associates or Bachelors degree is preferred

All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a negative drug screen test*, criminal background check, reference checks, infection prevention procedures (TB test, Flu Shot, immunization records, etc.) and acknowledgement of policies.

PREFERRED SKILLS: * Completion of Certified Phlebotomist program desirable. * One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. * BLS certification

WAGE: $18.66 - $23.46/ Hour

BENEFITS: Eligible for full benefits package

SHIFTS: Part time - 24 hours per week
