To create this all-new automotive financing experience, we are gathering a team of world-class strategists, innovators, creators, and technicians and searching for a Sr. Product Manager , Communications Platform, who will help to unlock the power of our customer journey data and leverage communications as a strategy to transform our relationship with our customers. The Communications Platform will orchestrate all customer communications across channels. REMOTE : We’re looking for the best talent no matter where you are in the United States. Please note this person will need to work EST hours and there is some expected travel to the Dearborn, MI area and/or other cities within the USA for business needs.

The Team

The Ford Motor Credit Company has a Product Organization, and this role falls in the US organization of that team. This role will report to the Group Product Manager, CRM & Customer Insights Platform and will partner closely with engineering and business partners.

What you’ll be doing

As the Sr. Product Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and growing an innovative, scalable platform that serves as the foundation for internal digital product teams worldwide. You will be expected to:

  • Craft and execute a comprehensive product vision and strategy for the transformation of the Communications Platform and our customer data, aligning it with Ford Credit's business objectives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, product, engineering, UX, data engineering, and AI/ML) to define, prioritize, and implement platform features and capabilities.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of communication capabilities to optimize communication effectiveness, with a focus on delivering the right message, to the right customer, at the right time, and through the preferred channel.

  • Create detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), business case documents, Strategy Documents, KPIs, OKRs, as well as features, user stories, metrics, and acceptance criteria, prioritizing them into release planning, and work closely with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and efficient implementation of platform features.

  • Develop and maintain a strategic product roadmap that balances short-term wins with long-term platform goals, continuously monitoring performance and iterating based on user feedback.

  • Present compelling product visions, roadmaps, and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders, effectively communicating the platform's value and impact on business outcomes.

  • Deeply understand the problems, with a data driven approach to size the impact, customer, and business value to be provided. Able to deep dive and drive initiatives hands-on.

  • Elevate Ford Credit's product excellence by refining and scaling best-in-class product management practices. Spearhead initiatives to further mature the product organization, fostering a culture of innovation, data-driven decision making, and customer-centricity that reinforces Ford Credit's position as an industry leader.

  • Collaborate effectively with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and sound implementation of product features.

  • Identifies issues, mitigates, and plans for them early, or escalates issues early enough to timely resolve them.

You'll have…

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of experience and education.

  • 7+ years’ experience working with marketing and communication platforms.

  • Technical fluency with knowledge of APIs, AI/ML, cloud services (preferably GCP), Customer Data Platforms (CDP), analytics, and experimentation methodologies, event driven architecture.

  • A proven product leader with a data-driven approach to product management and decision-making

  • A strategist with a strong product mindset, excellent storytelling, and written communications.

  • Experience working on global teams and in a matrixed team structure, influencing across product and engineering areas

  • An excellent communicator with the ability to articulate vision and seek alignment across all parties.

  • You can influence without authority, working on/with technical and cross-functional or highly matrixed teams who do not report into this role to get things done.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Experience with platform products and growing adoption across an enterprise.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, SAFE methods and Scrum.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, fluid environment where priorities shift regularly.

  • Ability to break down complex tasks or requirements into simpler, more manageable tasks identifying clear pros, cons, issues, obstacles, and dependencies. Fosters an environment of constant delivery and ownership in their areas. Able to help get things shipped and team members prioritize work in their key focus areas.

  • Ability to deliver high-impact outcomes, make trade-offs and understand the importance of different work-streams, and thus effectively prioritize to deliver maximum business impact.

Even better, you may have…

  • Master of Business Administration degree preferred.

  • Experience with digital platforms like Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce, and various other marketing technologies.
